Meet the winners of the 2008 Junior 8 Competition. These young people will represent the UK in Hokkaido, Japan in 2008.

Team members:
Why did you decide to take part in the UNICEF Junior 8 Summit?
We want to impact the world in which we live and make a difference to the lives of young people worldwide by improving their situation in the diverse variety of global issues in which we are interested. Global citizenship affects us all in our daily lives and by entering the J8 we are representing young people and giving them a voice to speak out to the most powerful world leaders.
This opportunity will enable G8 leaders to take our views into consideration and ensure they change our world to make the future a better place to live as children and grow to successful, educated and informed adults. Too often young people are ignored and this opportunity will give us the chance to present our views and rights to make sure
we are heard so that we can pass on our experiences not only to our peers but to future generations.
