Our site allows you to keep up to date with the latest news about the J8 project and the G8 by signing up to receive our bulletin. To do so, we ask you for your email address so we can provide you with the news you request.
Competition Entry Information
Our site also allows you to participate in the J8 competition organised in connection with the G8 summit. In relation to the competition, we will collect the following personal information so that your group can enter the competition:
We would like to remain in contact with schools following the competition. In addition, we would like to remain in contact with individual competitors by email once a year to record subject choices and eventual career decisions. This information will be used to evaluate the impact of J8 on competitors but will only be used by grouping the information in a way which does not identify your personal details.
We will publish the winning communiqué from each country on the J8 website, and name the winners’ school. If they agree, we will agree, we will also publish the winners’ names.
We may publish quotes or captions from entries on the website, but these will not be attributed to an individual.
We collect certain aggregate and non-personal information when you visit this website. Aggregate and non-personal information does not relate to a single, identifiable visitor. It tells us such things as how many users visited our site and the pages accessed. By collecting this information, we learn how to best tailor this website to our visitors.
