J8 participants are spending hours every day discussing the most pressing issues of today's politics: the financial crisis, climate change, education, and poverty and development in Africa. But despite complex problems on their agenda young people are still just that - young people and they all need a little fun.
A special chill-out room was set up in one of the buildings on the summit's venue, where young people can play games or just hang out in comfy chairs.
By the third day of the summit they were all in desperate need of relaxation and mixed teams were enthusiastically engaged in heated matches of foosball and table tennis.
Samuel from Tamil Nadu is throwing a balloon at Radwa from Egypt. Samuel has been going around barefoot and many other participants picked it up starting a new trend. It turned out that walking barefoot is actually very comfortable in the heat of the Roman midsummer.
During the breaks, young people were offered some local fresh fruit. In the spirit of the summit, the coffee bar owner carved out the UNICEF and J8 logos on a watermelon. He then stuck on top of the watermelon whatever flags he could get his hands on. It turned out that some of the flags were missing and participants handmade the rest. Here Roman installs the Russian flag.

Moments like these create a friendly atmosphere at the summit when even those young people who can't speak each other's language can share an experience that will last a lifetime.
