The Young Economic Summit (YES!) encourages groups of students and teachers to apply to compete against 14 other organizations and groups to create economically viable solution that aren’t just “profitable” but also have a far-reaching impact beyond their local community as far as finance is concerned.
Teams have almost an entire year to come up with the focus of their project, and will have to come together to meet with one another in the Solution City in the fall during a two day conference. Active schools will present their solutions in English (schools from around the world are encouraged to apply to compete with one another), discussing all of the economical, ecological, and societal issues that they have been challenged to resolve with the proposal that they have been able to put together.
At the conclusion of the Summit, participants, observer schools, and invited guests will have an opportunity to vote on the best solutions that have been proposed. The solutions that have been able to accumulate the highest number of votes will find their project summarized in the YES Petition, a published work that is provided to institutions, organizations, colleges, and universities around the world to help inspire students at all corners of the globe to dream bigger and create the future faster than anyone else could have thought possible.
